The league is heading into the final month of the regular season, and some teams are finishing the season with a kick. The Cole Harbour Pro Hockey Life Wolfpack defeated the Valley CIBC Wood Gundy Wildcats 5-0 this weekend, and the Steele Subaru Major Midgets also achieved a shutout against the Cape Breton West Islanders 2-0. The Weeks Major Midgets defeated the Cape Breton Tradesmen 4-1 and the Valley CIBC Wood Gundy Wildcats defeated Charlie’s Pizza South Shore Mustangs 4-2.
The Cole Harbour Pro Hockey Life Wolfpack is leading the league with 28 wins, three losses, and one shootout loss earning them 57 points, tied with the Steele Subaru Major Midgets who have 27 wins, four losses, an overtime loss, and two shootout losses. The Valley CIBC Wood Gundy Wildcats are not so closely in third place with 16 wins, 16 losses, and two shootout losses earning them 34 points overall.
Dylan Riley from the Wildcats is leading the league in goals and overall points with 29 goals and 19 assists earning him 48 points overall. Alexander Arab from the Wolfpack is leading the league in assists with 30. Aidan Hosein from the Steele Subaru Major Midgets is the leading goaltender with a 0.94 save percentage and a 1.55 goals against average.
