The Halifax McDonalds won their 11th consecutive Nova Scotia major midget hockey game on Sunday afternoon, an 8-1 drubbing of the South Shore Mustangs in Bridgewater.

Ethan Landry and Joe Bouchard each potted a pair of goals to pace Halifax, which improved to a league-best 26-4-1.

Liam Walsh, Zach Byard, Sam Beaton and Sounthon Thammachack had the other goals for the McDonalds.

Ben Charles opened the scoring for the last-place Mustangs (4-23-5) 13:46 into the first period. South Shore was outshot 57-17.

Wolfpack 6, Weeks 3: At Cole Harbour, Liam Kidney netted a hat trick as Cole Harbour doubled Pictou County.

Brandon Stone had a goal and two assists while Josh Farmer and Brady Hunter added single markers.

Rowan Sears, Connor MacLeod and Luke Fielding answered for Pictou County.

Steele Subaru 4, Islanders 1: At Port Hood, Ozzie King tallied twice and David Gagnon had a goal and an assist in Dartmouth’s road win over Cape Breton West.

Isaac Chapman had the other goal for the winners. Stephen Fox replied for the Isles.

On Saturday, it was: Halifax 6, Pictou County 0 and Dartmouth 9, Cape Breton Tradesmen 1.
