Ryan Huestis stopped 23 shots to lead the Cole Harbour Wolfpack to a 3-0 win over the Pictou County Weeks in a Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League game at Cole Harbour Place on Sunday.
Noah Whebby, Matthew Berrigan and Benjamin MacQueen were the Cole Harbour goal scorers.
South Shore 3, Cape Breton West 2 (OT): At Port Hood, Tristan d’Entremont’s second goal of the game was the overtime winner.
Travis Parks rounded out the scoring for the Mustangs and Devon MacLaughlin and Randon MacKinnon were the marksmen for the Islanders.
Halifax 3, Cape Breton 2: At the Halifax Civic Centre, the McDonald’s built a 3-0 lead and then hung on for the win.
Jacob Hickey, Keegan Gauthier and Logan MacLellan were the scorers for the Macs and Brandon Farrell and Bryceson Musgrave answered for the Tradesmen.
Valley 6, Newbridge 5 (OT): At the Dartmouth Sportsplex, Dylan Riley completed his hat trick in overtime.
Riley finished the game with five points and Cole Rafuse had two goals and two assists. Eli Hughes was the other scorer for the Wildcats.
Morgan Barron, Johnny Foley, Cameron MacLeod, Kynan Berger and Brett Thorne found the back of the net for the Gladiators.
