The Cape Breton Tradesmen edged the South Shore Mustangs 2-1 in Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League action Sunday.
At the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre, Dylan Morley and Logan O’Neil scored in the win.
Issac Bridge scored for the Mustangs.
Pictou County 3, Cape Breton West 2: A last-second goal by Ben Higgins — his second of the game — propelled Weeks past the the Islanders.
At New Glasgow, Evan MacLennan also scored for the winners.
Devin MacLaughlin and Declan Smith replied for Cape Breton West.
Newbridge Academy 6, Cole Harbour 3: Connor Kirby collected a goal and two assists as the Gladiators doubled the Wolfpack at the Dartmouth Sportsplex.
Morgan Barron, Ryan MacDonald, Noah McMullin, Johnny Foley and Tyler Brown each had a goal and assist for Newbridge.
Connor Peveril, Alexander Arab and Aaron Maillet answered for Cole Harbour
Halifax 7, Valley 4: Jacob Hickey notched two goals and two assists to pace the McDonalds over the Wildcats.
At Berwick, Halifax also got goals from Keegan Gauthier, Shane Bowers, Bradley Shaw, Barrett Dachyshyn and Brandon Pottie.
Coady Burghardt has a goal and two assists for the Wildcats, who squandered 3-2 and 4-3 leads.
Tanner Forrest, Michael Dill and Drake Batherson had the others.
