BROOKFIELD – Carson Lanceleve tallied four points in two games to lead the Weeks Major Midgets to a pair of wins over the Cape Breton Unionized Tradesmen in Nova Scotia Major Midget AAA Hockey League action over the weekend.
Lanceleve, of Stewiacke, scored one goal in a 4-1 victory on Saturday and added a goal and two assists in a 5-2 triumph Sunday.
In the Saturday win, Gavin Hart of Bible Hill and Millbrook’s G Blackmore also scored for Weeks, while Jaden Mason had the other marker. Kinnon Wiliams the lone Cape Breton goal.
On Sunday, Hart, Jaden Mason, Kevin Mason and Oliver Schnare had other Pictou County goals. Blackmore and Brookfield’s Rowan Sears had assists. Leon Denny and Mackenzie Ericksson scored for the Tradesmen.
Truro’s Alex MacDonald stopped 26 shots to earn the win between the pipes.
