We don't know where to start when it comes to acknowledging how gracious Mr Gregory is. Anyone who has had any measure of success in their lifetime should steal a page from Mr. Gregory's playbook on how to give back.
At 74 years old and after suffering a major heart attack less than a year ago, Mr. Gregory hopped in his car and drove to Windsor for the second year in a row to meet and greet everyone at the tournament from the players to the fans to the coaches and more. What more needs to be said?
Each of our All Stars proudly wear the Jim Gregory Friendship Tournament Uniforms and after meeting him, we're sure it takes on a whole new meaning for the players.
Mr. Gregory addressed all the All Stars in the dressing room before the game making a very inspirational speech that which will surely be remembered by the players for a lifetime.
He also dropped the opening puck for the All Star Game with Jake's House co-founder Irene Bodanis as many of North America's brightest talent took the ice to display their skills.
Later that night, Mr. Gregory addressed the packed house at our Annual Awards Banquet with a very inspirational speech about hockey and life, mixed in with a few jokes that had everyone chuckling.
He took pictures with all of the MVP winners, yet another memory that will be cherished by the players and their families for a lifetime.
We can't say enough about how much of an honour it was to have Mr. Gregory's support at our tournament for the second year in a row.
Thank you Jim, your contributions are immeasurable!
