It was a victory filled weekend for the Okanagan Rockets as the B.C. Major Midget Team downed the Kootenay Ice in back-to-back games.
On Sunday, the Rockets made it six straight wins after an 8-2 win at the Capital News Centre. During the game Calvin Rout scored his first two BCMML goals. Tre Doyon also found the back of the net for the first time this season.
Nolan Kneen added a pair in the victory as well while Zach Erhardt added a pair of assists for a weekend total of five.
Meanwhile, on Saturday the Rockets dumped the Ice 6-0 as Brandon Whistle scored twice and added three assists in the game. Okanagan was up 1-0 after the first period, added another goal in the second and would go on to score four goals in the third for the shutout victory.
Connor Bowey, Brett Witala and Levi Johnson also scored for Okanagan. Jordan Reynolds earned his first BCMML shutout with 25 saves and improved his overall record to 5-1-0.
Up next for the Okanagan Rockets is a pair of games against the Greater Vancouver Canadians who will visit CNC on November 1st and 2nd.
