Ryan Franz from the Richmond Hill Coyotes is definitely a goalie to watch this season.
The team is currently first in their league with 10 wins, a loss, and a tie earning them 21 points, and they have a 9-0-1 record in their last 10 games played. Franz is a big part of their team’s success.
In the 23 games he has played since the beginning of this season he has only let in 23 goals; nine of these games were shutouts giving him an incredible 1.12 goals against average.
In October he had a 9-0 record, only letting in six goals.
Also in October the team participated in the Ottawa Sens Showcase Tournament held October 15-18.
The team ended up winning the tournament, and assistant coach Matt Peden says that Franz was “instrumental in helping our team … win the tournament”.
Franz has clearly begun the season in the right way, and continues to excel in every game he plays. He is definitely an asset to the Coyotes and will be extremely helpful to their championship goals. It appears as though Franz has a bright future ahead in the game of hockey.
