The last month of the regular season is an important time for the teams in the middle of the standings. The top teams have already clinched their playoff spots, and the teams at the bottom have accepted that this is not their year. The teams in the middle, however, are still fighting for those last few playoff spots. The middle five teams in the NSMMHL are all within only a few points of each other giving a lot of opportunity for takeover and upset.
The Cole Harbour Pro Hockey Life Wolfpack is still leading the league with 31 wins, three losses, one overtime loss, and one shootout loss earning them 64 points. The Steele Subaru Major Midgets are in second place with 28 wins, five losses, one overtime loss, and two shootout losses earning them 59 points.
Dylan Riley from the Valley CIBC Wood Gundy Wildcats is leading the league in goals and overall points with 30 goals and 21 assists earning him 51 points. Alexander Arab from the Cole Harbour Pro Hockey Life Wolfpack is leading the league in assists with 34.
