BCMML: WHL Cougars Lock Up Third Future Forward In Three Days*
- Submitted by

The Prince George Cougars have signed a third prospect in as many days, adding speed and skill to their future roster.

16-year-old Max Kryski has been signed to a standard WHL agreement and General Manager Todd Harkins says he’s kept a watchful eye on the Kelowna native.

“We’ve been following Max’s progress very closely this season and to us it was a no-brainer to get him listed and signed as quickly as possible after seeing him put up huge numbers in the B.C. Major Midget League.”

In 27 games this season with the Okanagan Rockets (BCMML), the 5’10” forward has scored 18 goals, which puts him tied for sixth in league scoring.

Harkins says Kryski’s talents are reminiscent of current Cougar Colby McAuley.

“He finishes every check, provides energy for his teammates and he’s got good finish around the net. He’s capable of big things and we’re very excited to have him and his family be a part of the Prince George Cougars.”

Kryski joins forwards Edge Lambert and Zach Bolton, who were signed over the last two days.

He was initially added to the Cougars 50-man protected list in December.

The Prince George Cougars return to action Friday night facing the Red Deer Rebels when they kick off their first and only three-game in three-night segment of this season, followed by back-to-back games at Roger’s Place against the Edmonton Oil Kings Saturday and Sunday.
