Brian Bygrave racked up one point to lead the Kanata Midget AAA Lasers to a 2-1 victory over the Cumberland Midget AAA Grads.

Kanata Midget AAA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Kanata Midget AAA also got a goal from Bennett Stockdale as well. Other players who recorded assists for Kanata Midget AAA were David Silye, Luca Nocita, Nathan MacKechnie, and Ty Gauthier, who contributed one each.

Cumberland Midget AAA managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Grads ended up below its season average of 8.0 penalty minutes per game.

Cumberland Midget AAA was led by Alex Wall, who scored the team's only goal. Wall scored 4:19 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Cumberland Midget AAA. Zakary Rodrigue picked up the assist.

The Lasers' Jean-Philippe Tourigny stopped 16 shots out of the 17 that he faced. Kanata Midget AAA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Kai Edmonds made 26 saves for the Grads on 28 shots.
