BCMML: Rockets Split A Pair Of 6-1 Games With Cougars in Prince George
- Submitted by

After being humbled in their weekend opener in Prince George, the Okanagan Rockets were happy to return the favour just a day later.

The Rockets answered a 6-1 B.C. Major Midget League loss to the hometown Cariboo Cougars on Saturday, with a 6-1 victory of their own on Sunday at the Kin Arena.

Brendan Boyle scored twice in the victory as Okanagan pushed its record to 9-9-1-1 on the season.

Ben King had a goal and two assists, while Tanner Brown, Jack Finley, with a shorthanded marker, and Brandon Della Paolera, into an empty net, also tallied for the Rockets. Cole Schwebius was solid in the Rockets’ net in earning his sixth victory of the season.

On Saturday, captain Mitchell Gove scored the lone goal for Okanagan.

The Rockets return home to host the North Island Silvertips this weekend at CNC. The teams will face off at 5 p.m. Saturday and again at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
