TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – MONCTON FLYERS
For the fourth season in a row the Moncton Flyers finished atop the N.B./P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League standings, and they claimed the 2014-15 regular season title with one of the most dominant campaigns in league history.
The Flyers posted a sparkling 33-1-1 record, including 18 straight wins to open the season and an 11-game run from Dec. 14-Jan. 24.
Moncton scored a league-best 167 goals, but its defence was the difference; the Flyers allowed a measly 63 goals against, 50 less than second-place Saint John.
Up front, Liam Conrad won the NBPEIMMHL scoring title thanks to a six-point performance in the season finale, while Kyle Ward and Patrik Landry joined Conrad in the top five.
In goal, Julian Galloway (16-1, 1.63, .932) and Xavier Cormier (17-1, 1.86, .920) respectively finished one-two in every notable netminding category, including wins, goals-against average and save percentage.
